Melanie Atma is a classically trained
musician with opera and music theatre credits who worked her lyrical style into original shape as a jazz singer and singer/songwriter.

In 1992 she travelled to Europe where her recording career was launched with Flying Records, Italy. She has performed in various jazz combos in Australia and Italy and toured extensively with her original band Soul River.

In 1996 she was invited to perform at the Montreaux Jazz Festival.

She now lives in Melbourne where she writes, performs, teaches and works with some of the finest jazz musicians in the country.
